We rely on volunteers for the season to run smoothly and to help keep costs down. In order to assure its success, the team counts on extensive parent involvement. It takes over 50 volunteers to run one swim meet and volunteers are also needed to help with swim team social activities.
Each family is required to volunteer a total of 16 points during the season. 1 point = to approx 1 hour (Job points may vary). We require a $500 refundable deposit per family, unless the “buy-out” option was selected at registration. Families who meet their volunteer requirement will have their checks returned to them on the last day of the season.
Checks are to be made payable to Valencia Summit Swim Team, Inc. After you are registered, you can submit your $500 refundable deposit in the following manner:
- Mail your check to: Valencia Summit Swim Team, Inc. PO Box 55773, Valencia, CA 91385
- Bring your check to the Seals Open House Event on April 27, 2025 from 2 – 4PM @ the Clubhouse
- Bring your check to the Mandatory Parent Meeting on May 13, 2025
PLEASE NOTE: If you do not choose the “Volunteer Buy-Out” option at registration, and we have not received your volunteer deposit by the first day of practice, your swimmer will not be able to participate.
